I'm Tom, a British designer and photographer now based in Singapore. Design, photography, this site, different mediums, but they all come back to the same thing: storytelling.

I'm drawn to work that gives people something to engage with, which is a big part of why modular design has stuck with me. It feels alive. It can be moved through, fiddled with, affected, and responded to, whether physical, digital, or somewhere in between.

My photography reflects three ideas: space, using negative space as a compositional tool; face, who moves through the frame; and place, the details that make somewhere recognisably itself.

Since graduating, I've worked at a design agency in London, moved to Singapore, and spent time in the world of events, plus a few stints in coffee, which is probably less relevant here, but it's my website, so it stays.

Lately I've also found myself drawn to UX, thinking more about how people move through and experience the things they use, on screen or otherwise. This site has been part of that thinking, built and rebuilt more times than I'd like to admit.
